Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship at the University of Nottingham – In 2001, we established our flagship Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship. This scholarship program is for international students who want to contribute to their home country’s growth.

We have 105 scholarships available, each covering 50% or 100% of full-time master’s tuition fees. These scholarships are accessible to high-achieving overseas students from Africa, India, and certain Commonwealth countries.

Nottingham University is a public research university in Nottingham, England. It was established in 1881 as University College Nottingham and received a royal charter in 1948. Nottingham’s main campus (University Park), Jubilee Campus, and teaching hospital (Queen’s Medical Centre) are all within the city limits of Nottingham, with a variety of smaller campuses and sites scattered around Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. The institution has campuses in Semenyih, Malaysia, and Ningbo, China, as well as in the United Kingdom.
The Purpose and Benefits of a Masters Scholarship at the University of Nottingham
- The scholarship includes a full tuition price remission for the academic year as well as an £8,000 stipend paid over 12 months.
- Individuals who can show proof of refugee status will be given preference, although the University may extend the invitation to apply to further applicants.
University of Nottingham Masters Scholarship Qualification Requirements
To be considered for this scholarship, you must complete the following steps:
- You must be a citizen of Africa, India, or one of the Commonwealth countries listed below.
- To qualify for fees, you must be classifies as an international student.
- Hold an offer to begin a full-time masters (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham UK in September or October 2022, studying in the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Faculty of Science or Faculty of Social Sciences
You can apply for one of our regional Postgraduate Excellence Awards in addition to the Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship. You can apply for numerous international scholarships, but only one will be awarded to you.
If you meet the following criteria, you are not eligible for this scholarship:
- You are a present or former student at the University of Nottingham
- You already studied in a country other than your own
- You are currently enrolled as a student in the United Kingdom

You will be questioned about your achievements, study intentions, and reasons for choosing to study with us in your application. You should also show how your studies at the University of Nottingham will aid in the growth of your home nation.
Make sure you have plenty of time to develop solid responses. When determining scholarship decisions, we will consider your comments as well as your academic merit.
