Türkiye Scholarships are a competitive government-funded scholarship program that awards excellent students and researchers from all over the world the opportunity to study full-time or part-time at Turkey’s leading universities. 

Türkiye Scholarships aspires to create a network of future leaders dedicated to enhancing international cooperation and mutual understanding. 

Türkiye Scholarships give excellent overseas students with university placement as well as a study grant at all levels of higher education.

Scholarship details: 

Türkiye Scholarships offers a variety of programs based on priority areas of study for each level of study, region, and country. The Türkiye Scholarships Application System provides candidates with a university and academic program guide (TBBS). 

The undergraduate Scholarship Program is for students who are currently enrolled in college. This program is open to those who are interested in specific courses ranging from engineering to health sciences, as well as the arts and social sciences. At prestigious Turkish universities, a comprehensive choice of Master’s and PhD degrees in social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, and engineering are available. Please see our website for a list of departments and institutions that are currently available.

Scholarship Eligibility:

Türkiye scholarships are available to citizens from all countries.

The minimum level of academic achievement required:

  • Health Science (Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy) applicants: 70% Bachelor’s degree applicants
  • Applicants for Master’s and PhD degrees make up 90% of the total: Approximately 75% 

Criteria for Minimum Age: 

  • For Undergraduate programs, you must be under the age of 21. 
  • For Master’s programs, you must be under the age of 30. 
  • For PhD programs, you must be under the age of 35. 
  • For research programs, you must be under the age of 45. 


  • Students who are currently enrolled in school in Turkey are not eligible to apply for their current level of education. 
  • Additional application restrictions may apply to short-term scholarship programs. 
  • During the application time, please double-check the requirements. 
  • Türkiye does not offer any of the following programs. Scholarships: Associate’s degrees are two years long. Health-related specialization

Required documents:

  • For applications made online through the Türkiye Scholarships Application System (TBBS), all candidates must upload the following documents to the system:
  • A valid identity document, ID card or passport
  • A photograph of the candidate taken within the last 1 year
  • National exam results (if any)
  • Diploma or temporary graduation certificate
  • Transcript
  • International exam results (GRE, GMAT, SAT, etc.) if required by the chosen university or program
  • International language test results such as TOEFL, DELF if required by the chosen university or program
  • A proposal for a research topic and a written example of the research you have carried out (only for PhD applications)

Türkiye Scholarships application cycles are released on the Türkiye Scholarships website. There are eight languages in which applications can be submitted:

  • Spanish


  • The deadline for applications is February 20, 2022.
